One of the biggest struggles agents face with their marketing is (with no surprise) consistency. It can be so hard to figure out a system that works for you to show up purposefully, and continue to do it! Continue to market on social media, reach out to your sphere, and prospect for new leads and new business - all while keeping up with everything else that's going on in your life and in your business.

And I completely understand where you're coming from, which is why I recently hosted a live training, "How to Combat Overwhelm and Inconsistency in your Marketing." During the training, we dive into these two issues, how you can overcome them, and what you should do differently so you can find consistency with your marketing.

Because we know that consistency leads to results! But on the other hand, it's very easy to fall into traps that make it hard for you to move forward. So in part of the training, I shared five top and consistency traps and what you should do instead. So on today's episode, I'm going to play you a live clip from that training so you can learn what those five traps are and what you should do instead - I hope that you enjoy!

And for now, let's get into those inconsistency traps!

Inconsistency Trap 1: You Focus on "Marketing Ideas"

When you try a number of different marketing ideas that sound exciting - it can actually lead to more inconsistency in your marketing. It's so important to always consider your bigger marketing strategy that will effectively help you reach your biggest goals. It can be tempting to try the latest trends and fun marketing ideas, and there can be a time and place for this! But when there isn't strategy and a bigger goal behind it, it can lead to marketing that is a waste of time and ineffective overall.

Inconsistency Trap 2: You get caught up in what "others are doing"

It's one thing to be inspired and motivated by what others are doing, but it's important to realize that what works for them might not be the right path for you - and this can lead to inconsistency in your marketing that prevents you from moving closer to your goals. Instead, focus on your goals and what strategies can help get you there. This will help you create your own consistent path forward that is right for you and your unique business!

Inconsistency Trap 3: You're not leveraging your strengths & passions

Your marketing will be an uphill battle if you don't enjoy what you're doing! And this can easily lead to inconsistency. So take your strengths and passions into consideration when planning your goals and your marketing strategy to help create an achievable plan that you'll actually enjoy!

Inconsistency Trap 4: You’re trying to do too much!

Having too much on your plate will lead to imbalance and inconsistency. Instead, narrow your focus on the efforts that will reach your goals. It's also helpful to set a 'time budget' that you can stick to, and eliminate distractions during your designated working time to help avoid this inconsistency trap!

Inconsistency Trap 5: You don’t have an organized system & plan

Having a detailed marketing plan and a system of helpful tools you can refer back to can greatly increase your productivity and eliminate inconsistency in your marketing. Your plan should directly align with your business goals and give you actionable strategies to follow that will make a difference in your business. Overcome inconsistency with an easy-to-follow plan, so you never have to wonder what to do next!

And if any of these inconsistency traps resonate with you, just know you are not alone! It is easy to fall into them - that's why they are traps.

Now if you're looking for some actionable things that you can do, how you can set your week so that you are consistent in a manageable, doable, proactive way, I encourage you to tune in and watch the rest of this training, "How to Combat Overwhelm and Inconsistency in Your Marketing."
